Dr Sarah Allcock BA(Hons), MSc, D Clin Psych is a Clinical Psychologist and the Child Clinical and Academic Tutor at Salomons. She graduated from Keele University in 1992 and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from Salomons in 1997. Since that time she has been working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in the region, initially setting up a service for children in Social Services residential care in West Sussex and then, since December 1999, working in the multidisciplinary CAMHS team in Tunbridge Wells where she still works for two days a week. She started as Child Clinical and Academic Tutor at Salomons in June 2003.

Sarah has special interests in working with adolescents and with children with physical disabilities. While her approach to her work is broadly integrative, she is particularly interested in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and attachment theory. At Salomons, Sarah is responsible for the co-ordination of core child placements and the organization of the child teaching block. She also currently co-ordinates the induction training for new supervisors. Her areas of research interest include adolescence, physical disability, psychotherapy, and identity development, particularly using qualitative approaches.
