Dr Jackie Allt - Clinical and Academic Tutor: Statement of Equivalence

Jackie initially undertook a degree in English and American Literature before 'converting' to psychology with an MSc at Sussex University, and then going on to train in Clinical Psychology at Surrey University (1996-1999). She currently works as a Clinical and Academic Tutor on the Statement of Equivalence Programme and has recently contributed to the CBT Programme as a supervisor.

Since qualifying, Jackie has worked mainly with adults with mental health and health difficulties. She has a clinical interest in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Health (including chronic fatigue and cancer). Jackie would describe herself as an 'integrative' therapist, with her practice informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing therapy, brief psychodynamic and systemic therapy models. More recently, her training in Advanced Process Consultancy at the Tavistock Clinic has further developed her interest in organisational processes.
