Angela Gilchrist was born in England and grew up in South Africa. She completed her first degree at the University of the Witwatersrand before going on to postgraduate study at the University of Johannesburg. She returned to England in 2002 and completed a Statement of Equivalence in Clinical Psychology at Salomons. Angela was a journalist for 12 years before furthering her studies in psychology and has held senior positions in media, both as a reporter and as a magazine editor. Angela worked in private practice in Johannesburg and has contributed to both adult and older adult services in the NHS. She is particularly interested in the relationship between cognition and language and in psychotherapy integration.
