Our courses are currently changing.
At the moment we are offering the following IAPT courses for 2008/2009 at the Salomons campus.
Our previous course Postgraduate Certificate in Behavioural and Cognitive Approaches in Mental Health has now become the Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Advice Work (Low Intensity). For this course you will need to be working as a trainee Mental Health Advisor. If you are not already employed in such a post and are interested in becoming a Mental Health Advisor you can find these advertised at www.jobs.nhs.uk. More jobs like these will become advertised over the summer. Unfortunately we are unable to offer any self-funded places at the current time. The courses will begin in November 2008 and April 2009.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy this has now become the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (High Intensity). For this you will need to apply for jobs as an IAPT High Intensity worker starting in April. These jobs will be advertised on the www.jobs.nhs.uk website, we recommend you start looking for these jobs around November or December time as this course will begin in April. There is a possibility there may be some self-funded places available for the High Intensity course however this will not be confirmed until February 2009 at the earliest.
We currently have no plans to run the Foundation Skills Module, which we have run in past years. However, there may be other similar courses in the future and we will update this site as they become available.
There are no plans to run the Master of Science Degree in Psychological Therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the current time.
