Continuous Professional Development in Oxleas

This project is looking at Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs in 12 different mental health teams across the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich. A team including Dr Margie Callanan will be working with nursing, pharmacy, therapies and social care staff in a "bottom-up" approach, and service managers in a "top-down" approach to identify CPD needs. It is hoped that the outcome will be able to offer indicators for finding a balance between service-, professional- and individual-development needs for mental health staff. In future, this approach may be rolled out to work with teams providing services to services dealing with a broader range of client groups in addition to adult mental health.
